Dr. Jim Garlow has served as Senior Pastor of Skyline Wesleyan since October 1995. Previously he was the founding pastor of Metroplex Chapel (Church of the Nazarene) in the Dallas-Ft.Worth area, and served there for 13 years. His previous pastorates and teaching positions include:

Associate Pastor, First Church of the Nazarene, Bethany, OK (1979-83)
Professor, Oklahoma Wesleyan University (1977-79)
Pastor, First Wesleyan Church, Trenton, NJ (1973-7)
Youth Pastor, Rosemont Baptist Church, Lexington, KY (1971-2)
Youth Pastor, Concordia Baptist Church, Concordia, KS (1969)

In addition, Jim is an author, communicator and historian. He is heard daily on over 400 radio outlets nationwide in his one minute historical commentary called The Garlow Perspective.”

His academic journey has included Drew University (Ph.D. in Historical Theology), Princeton Theological Seminary (Master of Theology), Asbury Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), Southern Nazarene University (B.A. & M.A.), Oklahoma Wesleyan University (A.A.).

Jim’s writings include: Cracking Da Vinci’s Code (co-authored with Peter Jones) which has sold 350,000 copies, How God Saved Civilization (re-released as God And His People), A Christian’s Response to Islam, The Covenant, Partners in Ministry, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership Tested by Time, God Still Heals, The Da Vinci CodeBreaker, a pocket-sized Outline of the History of Christianity and an eight CD historical set, consisting of 395 one minute stories titled Understanding Church History - One Minute At A Time.

Jim’s wife Carol is a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. She serves as Minister of Prayer & Intercession at Skyline. Jim and Carol have four children and four grandchildren.
