Londen Institute Training
Each January, April, June, and October, the Londen Institute offers 3-Day Regional Residencies, through which students may develop professional ministry skills. These sessions are held at selected church campuses throughout the United States, giving students exposure to a variety of innovative ministries. These intense ministry training events are called the “Londen Institute for Evangelism” in honor of the founder. Each Regional Residency includes:
- A theme of broad interest to students preparing to do evangelism and Christian ministry. Examples include (1) Leadership, (2) Effective Team Building, and (3) Reaching the Community for Christ.
- About 20 hours of instruction and interaction with men and women who have proven track records as effective leaders. Examples of past presenters include (1) Bob Russell from the Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky; (2) Jim Putman of Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho; (3) Rick Rusaw of LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont, Colorado; and (4) Rick Warren from the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California.
- A Case Study presented by leaders of the host church. The Case Studies offer students real-life models for strategic thinking and action. They focus on (1) how the host church assessed the needs and opportunities for ministry in its community, (2) the strategies it developed for seizing those opportunities, and (3) the results and lessons learned.
- Fellowship and networking with like-minded leaders at the growing edge of God’s Kingdom. By moving about the country, students gain a broad, firsthand vision of what the Lord is doing in leading churches throughout America.
- Follow-up readings and assignments for students who wish to earn academic credit through the residency.
